I decided that my independent reading book was going to be Blood Trinity by Sherrilyn Kenyon and Dianna Love. Blood Trinity is a fantasy about a supernatural race called the Beladors who are part of a group called viper. Viper is a group of supernatural beings and deities dedicated to protecting the human race from demons.Beladors also sware to always report any dangers to the human race to viper. But, there's only one problem, a Belador mixed with another species and created an Alterant, a Belador half-breed.
Alterants are seen as threats beacuse of their ability to change into a beast. If an Alterant shifts then he or she faces imprisonment or death. Beladors are powerful and have different ranges in what powers they have. The most common powers are: telepathy, kinetics, and energy shots. But, the reason Beladors are so strong is that they can link with each other however, linking requires absolute trust.
The story follows one alterant named Evalle who has no memory of her parents and the only family she had was a distant aunt. The story starts off two years before the rest of the plot in Utah where Evalle had herd the call of a Belador. The call turned out to be a trap and she and two other Beladors were captured. The kidnapers turned out to be Melb, a rival of the Beladors. Evalle and the other two Beladors, Quin and Tzader, have no choice but to link to fight their way out of their imprisonment. An unexpected twist is that Quin knows one of the Melb quite well.
When the three of them get out of their restraints they fight the group of Melb. During the battle Tzader is seriosly wounded and near death. Quin uses one of his unique powers on the melb he knows, named Kizara, the power, mind lock, can synchronize his brain waves with anothers and this allows him to control them but, he has to concentate. The only remaining Melb is to strong for Evale to hadle alone. She has no choice, she has to shift. Once she shifts and kills the last Melb she shifts back and pulls the spear out of Tzader, who can now heal himself. The party the leaves but, when they get out side the dun is up and Evalle cannot be in sunlight because it burns her skin. The group escapes and heads back to Atlanta were they all live. Christopher and Holmes
I had already seen Sherlock Holmes before we watched it in class. I already knew what was going to happen. But, Sherlock Holmes is a great movie and does kind of relate to our book. Christopher is similar in many ways to Holmes.
First of all, Holmes and Christopher think very logically. Holmes for example, uses logic and rational reasoning to figure out every part of Lord Darkwood's plan and reveals it at the end. Christopher thinks very logically when he found the pitchfork in Mrs. Shears' shed to figure out that it was probably used to kill Wellington. He then also was smart enough to know that it could have been a red herring.
A second way that Christopher and Holmes are similar is how they both observe everything. Holmes showed how observant he was when he noticced how there was a light adhesive that kept the slab of stone together. Christopher shows this when he was in london and all of the signs rushed to his mind at once. There is however one obvious difference, Holmes can process all of the information at once and Christopher if he tried to process all of the information at once his asbergers would cause all of the information to become jumbled together.

The Curious Case of the dog in the night-time
The book The Curious Case of the dog in the night-time was about a boy named Christopher Boone, who is autistic, when he found a dog named Wellington murdered in Mrs. Shear's, the dog’s owner, garden. Christopher, who loves dogs, walks over to it to hold it as he starts to fell incredibly dismal. He then vows to find Wellington’s murderer but, later on His father finds out that Christopher is looking into the murder and tells him to stop. Why does Christopher’s father want him to stop investigating Wellington’s murder?
This is the start of the book and as I read if found it to become even more mysterious. The main plot is written very well and hides from sight for the beginning of the book. As the novel progressed the main plot shows its colors and shocks anyone who is fortunate enough to read this book. I find the book to be an overall great book. There are just some things I didn’t get. Why did Christopher’s father act the way he did towards Wellington? I mean what did the dog do to deserve that? The other thing that confused me was why did Mr. Boone keep violently attacking Christopher? Mr. Boone knows that Christopher doesn’t like to be touched at all, let alone hurting him like he did, I just couldn’t get it.
Henry David Thoreau
Henry David Thoreau basically said that our earthly possessions over take us and define what we do. I find this to be true and false. I have determined that it all depends on the object and the situation the person is in.
To prove that some possessions can consume our actions I have an example to prove this side of the statement. I think alcoholism is a great example of possessions taking over our actions. When I was in health we talked about how alcoholism takes over your body and makes you need to have the alcohol. It forces you to need more but, this only shows one side.
These material possessions don't have to rule over your actions. I'll use myself as an example for this side. I play a lot of video games and some people would probably even say I'm addicted to them but, I'm not. I've been spending a lot more time lately reading and doing homework than playing video games. I often read on my spare time and in fact you rarely ever see me without a book so, as you can see, I don't let my possessions dominate my life and I believe that everyone else can release themselves from their chains of their addiction to their possessions.

Prime Numbers
Life is like prime numbers. The farther you get the more complicated life becomes just like prime numbers in how the higher the number the more factors you have to check. It also seems that the farther you go in life the more "factors" you have to account for.
Let me state a few examples. Fist of all Drivers ED is a good one. I can not ever survive driving in a video game. How would I ever be able to drive for real? It's just so... complicated and even if I was better I wouldn't really be sble to go to it I'm too busy and go to a youth group so i wouldn't be able to go.
